FLOOD WATCH

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for a portion of Middle Tennessee and South Central Kentucky until Thursday evening. Significant rainfall has occurred for portions of the area. Additional thunderstorms with heavy downpours are expected through Thursday afternoon. 1 to 2 inches of rain will be common, but some locations could have more than 3 inches of rainfall in a short period. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

This Watch includes Cumberland County, Clinton County, Overton County, Pickett County, White County, Fentress County, Van Buren County, Clay County, and Putnam County in the 3B Media coverage area.
