FLOOD WATCH ISSUED

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from 10:00 PM EST / 9:00 PM CST this evening through Monday evening for portions of East Tennessee – including Blount, Rhea, Meigs, Monroe, Loudon, Bledsoe, and McMinn counties in the 3B Media News coverage area.

Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

Additional rainfall from heavy showers and thunderstorms will move across portions of the area tonight and Monday. This rainfall combined with saturated grounds from recent rains may result in flash flooding.
