FLOODING IN SEVIER COUNTY LEADS TO A TEMPORARY EVACUATION
SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn.- Tuesday night’s rain lead to rising water that caused Sevier County Emergency Management Agency to issue an alert for those in Greenbrier Island and Sevier County to head to higher ground. Cars were up against trees and standing on their end along the Little Pigeon River. A temporary evacuation shelter was available at a local elementary school for people who had to evacuate due to the flooding. Even though the waters are now receding, SCEMA urges people to still take caution.
