Every now and then a weather system comes along that gets me really concerned as a meteorologist for all of our listeners across East and Middle Tennessee including the plateau and this is one of them. We’re expecting more than a month’s worth of rain this week and the ground is already saturated, I think this sets the stage for some pretty serious flooding in some areas. Monday we get a break but starting Tuesday and Lasting all the way to next weekend we will get rain and much of it will be heavy and there could be a few thunderstorms. Rainfall totals will build day after day and we already picked up an inch and a half this weekend. Roads will be washed out in some places, Rivers will be on the rise across Tennessee and you need to keep up-to-date as this system unfolds across our area. I will be keeping you updated day and night on rainfall totals, flood warnings and any information you need this week we will have it for you.
