Floyd Thomas Andrews, age 78 of Rockwood, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Roane Medical Center.

Floyd was born on December 14, 1943 at home in the Batley Community of Anderson County, TN to Dalmas and Ruby Andrews. He proudly served in the United States Army. Floyd liked to work on cars and machines. For those who knew him, they knew how generous he was and how much he loved children. He would always have a pocket full of goodies for them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalmas W. Andrews and Ruby May Foust Andrews; brothers, Jay Andrews, Clifford Andrews, Ulyess Andrews, Dennis Andrews, Ernest Andrews, George Andrews, and Roy Andrews; sisters-in-law, Georgie Andrews and Mary Andrews.

Survivors include his sisters, Helen and husband James Qualls, Dorothy Carroll; brother, Kenneth Andrews; sisters-in-law, Nadine Andrews, Ruby Andrews, Rena Andrews; a host of many nieces and nephews; his dear nephew who spent a lot of time with him, Ray Andrews.

A very special thank you to his nurse, Shirley who took such good care of him.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Premier Sharp Funeral Home. Funeral service will be begin at 7 pm with Pastor Alan Johnson officiating. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 1 pm. He will be laid to rest on the land where he was raised, Andrews Family Cemetery in the Batley Community.
