FORD ISSUES RECALL ON 103,000 F-150 TRUCKS

NewsNation reports that Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 103,000 F-150 pickup trucks from the 2023-2025 model years due to a safety issue involving weakened rear axle hubs, which could cause the vehicle to roll away while parked or lose drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration noted that the rear axle hub bolt may fatigue and break, potentially damaging the axle hub splines.
Ford notified affected owners on August 22, 2025, advising them to contact dealers for an inspection if they hear a clicking or rattling noise from the rear wheel center cap. No accidents or injuries related to this issue have been reported. Ford dealers will replace the left and right rear axle shaft assemblies at no cost, with the repair typically taking less than half a day, though service scheduling may require additional time.
