FOSTER ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY ATTACKING AND HOLDING FEMALE CAPTIVE IN WAYNE COUNTY, KENTUCKY

A Wayne County, Kentucky man has been arrested on multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting and holding a female captive for several days.

Deputy Jacob Vanover was dispatched to a residence on Walnut Street yesterday afternoon for a report of a domestic dispute where a female victim had sustained severe injuries. Upon arrival the victim stated to Deputy Vanover that the incident occurred at residence in the Rollohome Trailer Park off Kentucky Highway 3106. The victim stated that she had been held captive for three days by her boyfriend while being repeatedly beaten by him and had lost conscious several times during her captivity. The victim stated the accused had threaten to kill her and her children every time she attempted to leave. There were no children present during this period. The victim was able to leave the residence once the accused went to sleep.

Deputy Vanover also learned that a Kentucky Emergency Protective Order was in place between the two which was issued out of the Bourbon County Family Court with a court date of yesterday (May 12, 2020). The victim stated that the accused would not let her leave to attend the court proceeding because of the way she looked.

The victim was treated by the Wayne County Emergency Medical Service and then transported to the Lake Cumberland Regional Center for treatment of her injuries.

Deputy Vanover along with other Deputies with the sheriff’s office arrested 27-year-old Austin Foster of Monticello, Kentucky late yesterday after obtaining warrants for first-degree assault, first-degree criminal abuse, first-degree false imprisonment, intimidating a participant in the legal process, first-degree wanton endangerment, violation of a Kentucky emergency protective/domestic violence protective order and for third-degree terroristic threatening. Foster was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center where he is being held as of today (Wednesday, May 13, 2020) without bond.
