CITY OF KINGSTON CANCELS 2020 SMOKIN’ THE WATER JULY 4TH EVENT

The Kingston City Council decided in their meeting last night to cancel the 2020 Smokin’ The Water 4th of July celebration. City officials says there was simply no way to hold the event and maintain any degree of social distancing. Funding for the fireworks comes from donations and the city felt it was not appropriate to ask businesses and individuals to contribute at a time when so many are struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kingston city officials look forward to resuming the popular annual event next year.
