FOUR DAYCARE WORKERS IN TN CHARGED AFTER GIVING CHILDREN EXTREME AMOUNT OF MELATONIN

Tennessee investigators charged Jaime Clark, Kristin Clark, Jordan Darnell, and Ethan Pulley late last week with giving 26 children at Mimi’s Daycare in Indian Mound an extreme amount of melatonin. Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone that promotes sleep. Some people take melatonin to sleep better.

That amount that was given to the children is more than one and a half times the maximum adult dose.

Attorney Rocky McElhaney, who represents nine of the children, said daycare workers gave the children up to 10 times the legal dose with their lunch in gummy form.

McElhaney said parents would pick their children up and wouldn’t be able to wake them up or be sluggish.

Investigators said the children ranged in age from infants to 6 years old and this had been going on for at least two years.
