This is not a good day for motorists in Cumberland County. First, traffic was very congested around schools, especially at Stone Memorial High School, this morning. That has since calmed down but expect it to pick back up when school dismisses later today.

There are four road projects that are going on today (Tuesday, August 6, 2019) in Cumberland County:

Highway 127 South @ Miller Bypass (paving project)

Highway 70 West from Sparta Drive to the airport (one lane traffic in a portion of this section)

Peavine Road between Lakeview and St. George in Fairfield Glade (traffic heavy at times in this area for paving)

Highway 70 East just east of Crab Orchard (one lane traffic)
