FOUR SEX OFFENDERS ARRESTED IN ANDERSON COUNTY AFTER “OPERATION EGG HUNT”

ANDERSON COUNTY – A sex offender registry compliance operation by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and the Oak Ridge Police Department, with the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Sex Offender Registry Unit and the United States Marshals Service, concluded this week with the check of more than 70 registered sex offenders.
During the multi-agency operation, compliance checks were conducted on more than 70 registered sex offenders. Law enforcement teams made contact with 72 of those offenders. Of those where contact was made, 68 were found to be in compliance. The following four non-compliant offenders were arrested for being in violation of the sex offender registry and booked into the Anderson County Jail.
• Corey Hutchinson (DOB: 09/30/1973)
• Cameron Richardson (DOB: 08/15/1992)
• Eric Bedwell (DOB: 12/29/1981)
• Brandon Labelle (DOB: 09/13/1995)
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office stated, “Making sure registered sex offenders in Anderson County are in compliance and following the rules set forth by the courts as a result of their conviction is critical,” said Sheriff Russell Barker. “It’s important that these offenders know we are always watching and will hold them accountable if they fail to comply.”
The multi-agency saturation operation, named Operation Egg Hunt, took place from April 3rd through April 6th.
