FOWLER NAMED NEW FENTRESS COUNTY SHERIFF
In an 8-2 vote by the Fentress County Commission last night, Chief Sheriff Deputy Hunter Fowler was appointed the new sheriff.
The opening happened after former sheriff Michael Reagan resigned.
Officials say the decision was made to maintain continuity in the sheriff’s department until voters can decide who they prefer.
Fowler was selected over Rodney Insco and Gary Ledbetter.
All three are running for the position in the upcoming election.
Fowler said he is honored to serve as sheriff and hopes to bring positive change to Fentress County.
Fowler is scheduled to be sworn in on Tuesday.
