Frances Alice Rains, age 69, of Wartburg, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning, January 7, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was born July 1, 1955 in Harriman and has been a resident of Roane & Morgan County. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wartburg and had been a dedicated pastors’ wife for 23 years before his passing in 2018.  She had worked as church secretary for Trenton Street Baptist Church in Harriman and also volunteered at Store House Ministries.  She loved her church and her church family.  Frances enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid reader and could often be found reading her Bible. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Rev. Kenneth Ray Rains Jr.; parents, Henry & Alice Patterson Aslinger; brother, Earl Aslinger; brother-in-law, Wayne Shannon.

The family will meet at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Fraker Funeral Home to go in procession to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ten Mile for a 2:00 pm, graveside service with Pastor Matt Ward officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Youth Group in Wartburg, P.O.
