Free Fishing Day is coming to Tennessee on June 6th, offering a perfect opportunity for experienced anglers and beginners alike to get outside and enjoy the state’s excellent fishing.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) highlighted the event by sharing highlights from a recent youth fishing event at Kefauver Lake, where more than 300 kids, along with their families and volunteers, enjoyed a day of fishing, learning, and community.

Volunteers provided fishing rods, bait, backpacks, food, drinks, and created lasting memories for the participants.

Whether you’re introducing someone new to the sport or casting a line yourself, June 6th is an ideal day to take advantage of Tennessee’s fishing opportunities.
