Hazardous Weather Outlook: Friday will be slightly hotter than Thursday, especially south of Interstate 40 where heat index values will reach near to even above 105 degrees in most of the Southern Tennessee Valley.

Also, a few storms are possible on Friday, mainly north of Interstate 40 during the late afternoon and evening, some which could be strong to severe. Isolated damaging wind gusts are the main concern with these storms. Saturday will remain hot with heat index values reaching 100 degrees or higher in the Southern and Central Tennessee Valley.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 99. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. West wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. West northwest wind around 5 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. North northeast wind around 5 mph.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. East wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Monday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.
