The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has provided an update on the Genesis Road (SR-298) project in Cumberland County, stating that the roadway is expected to open in the next few weeks.

According to them, the contractor has already applied the first layer of asphalt, which should help reduce potential delays caused by weather.

Assuming no severe weather interruptions, the project is on track to be substantially completed before Christmas, though some minor cleanup work may extend into the new year with minimal impact on traffic.
