Genesis Road in Cumberland County will undergo repairs between Catoosa Canyon Road and Obed Pines Road, requiring a full closure of that section.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation bid out the project on March 21, 2025, and construction is expected to start in mid to late summer or fall and take about 180 days to complete, weather permitting.

During this time, northbound traffic will need to detour via an alternate route beyond Catoosa Canyon, and southbound traffic will detour before Obed Pines Road. Detour signs will be placed along I-40, US 127, State Route 62, and Genesis Road to guide travelers.
