GREENEVILLE MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL BATTERY AND STATUTORY RAPE AS YOUTH MINISTER
WVLT reports that a 48-year-old man from Greeneville, Tennessee, named Wesley Brobeck, has been arrested and charged following an investigation into an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old minor. Brobeck was serving as the youth minister at the Greeneville campus of Freedom Fellowship Church of White Pine when the alleged offenses occurred.
According to White Pine Police Chief Chad Cotter, the church received information about the situation, promptly terminated Brobeck’s employment, and reported the matter to law enforcement. The White Pine Police Department conducted an investigation, leading to Brobeck’s arrest at his home on Saturday night. He faces charges of sexual battery by an authority figure and statutory rape by an authority figure and is currently held in the Jefferson County Jail.
