Guirlee Shiner, 41

Guirlee Shiner was born September 16th, 1980, to Guirelleto and Flordilez Jomoc of the Philippines. She was a wife, mother, and friend. She is survived by her parents and her husband, Christopher, three beautiful children, Hannah, Matthew, and Sarah, brother Jasper, and sister Dobbee Jomoc.

Guirlee graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and worked alongside her Father in the Philippine government. She met her charming Christopher, and they were joined in Holy Matrimony and relocated to the United States. Once in California, she earned her CNA license.

Guirlee gave birth to Hannah while in California. She and Christopher moved to Pennsylvania a year later, and Guirlee left her nursing work to become a full-time homemaker after the birth of her handsome Matthew. A few years later, Sarah was born, making the Shiners a family of five.

Christopher and Guirlee accepted the call to carry the gospel to the Philippines and Mexico. They were dedicated to feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and preaching deliverance to the captives. Guirlee experienced immense joy as she and her family led many souls to a greater knowledge of their Lord.

Guirlee was also a homeschool mom and prepared her children to face life’s challenges by teaching them the Word of God. She was their full-time instructor in a Christian-based homeschool program.

Even from the bed of her affliction, she taught the children the songs of Zion that they would then share with the homeless in Cookeville and Knoxville, TN. In addition, she ministered in their community by sharing bagged lunches and breakfast and teaching the children a new song to share each week on Sabbath.
