Ray A. Roberson, 95

U.S. Veteran Ray A. Roberson, 95, of Crossville, TN, formerly from O’Fallon, IL passed away at his home Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Born on October 14, 1926, son of Roy and Nellie (Williams) Roberson in Knox County, Indiana. Ray graduated from Wheatland High School, class of 1944, Wheatland, IN. He served in the Army Air Corps 1944 to 1947, serving in France and Germany during WWII and then was employed with B&O railroad (CSX Transportation) for 42 years in East St. Louis, IL. In retirement, he traveled all across the U.S., Canada and abroad. He and his wife (Willian) loved RVing. Ray was a past Master of Emeth Lodge #1030 A.F. & A.M. and member of Crossville, TN Lodge #483 F. & A.M. with 65+ years of active masonic membership. He was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies of Southern IL, Ainad Shrine, Alhambra Shrine, Eastern Star, Ainad Legion of Honor Unit (Past President), Cumberland/Roane County Shrine Club, hospital transportation Units of Ainad Temple in East St. Louis, IL and Alhambra Temple in Chattanooga, TN, VFW 5025 Crossville and the American Legion. Ray was preceded in death by his wife Willian nee Hayden Roberson, former wife Dorothy nee Theriac, Roberson, two sons Gary Roberson, David Lloyd Roberson, daughters-in-laws Shirley (Bugger) Roberson and Vicki (Fuson) Roberson and stepsons Keith Riesenberger and Ralph Welch. Surviving are two sons Jack (Marcia) Roberson and Dean Roberson; Grandson David (Sarah) Roberson; Granddaughters Tracy (Sean) McAdams, Carrie (Cathy) Roberson, Dana Roberson (John Neikirk), Kelly (Matthew) Dodsworth. Stepdaughters Laura Ruth Gordon and Joyce Riesenberger, Stepgrandchildren Kelly Welch, Tommy Welch, Angie Lohr, Carolyn Gordon, William Gordon, Brandon Riesenberger and Brittany Russell; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Silver Angels Home Health for their assistance with Ray.
