HAIL, HIGH WINDS AND AT LEAST ONE CONFIRMED TORNADO REPORTED

Severe weather resulted in scattered reports of damage in the coverage area late Saturday. The National Weather Service says one of their post-storm survey teams found damage consistent with 80 m.p.h. winds in Lenoir City. Crews will look into this further after several reported a tornado in Lenoir City. Damage was concentrated between 4th and 5th Avenues. Penny size hail was reported in southern Cumberland County and southeastern Morgan County while golf ball size hail fell in parts of McMinn County. A tornado touched down in Wilson County flipping over two tractor trailers and a couple of vehicles on I-40 near mile marker 248. Three injuries were reported in Wilson County.
