7th district Cumberland county Board of Education member Rebecca Hamby has resigned her position on the Board citing medical reasons.  Going forward, according to Cumberland county Mayor Allen Foster,  the Cumberland County Commission could appoint someone to the 7th district Board position or anyone from her district could run for election to the board in the upcoming November election.
