Helen Louise (Cozart) Roddy, age 98, of Rockwood, passed away August 1, 2020 at her home. She was a faithful member of Williams Chapel AME Zion of Emory Gap and attended Speights Chapel AME Zion Church of Rockwood. She is preceded in death by her parents: Harrison and Lula Cozart; husband: Amos Buster Roddy; sons: Lawrence Edward Roddy, Willis Lee Roddy, and Curtis Eskridge; 7 brothers, 4 sisters, and son-in-law: Jerry S. Miller. She is survived by her daughters: Virginia Jo Miller of Littlerock, California, Brenda Sue Easter (Troy) of Palmdale, California, Shirley Ann Roddy of Rockwood, Bonnie Roddy of Rockwood, Pamela Louise Roddy of Rockwood, and Amy Christine Roddy of Rockwood; daughter-in-law: Dorothy Eskridge of Rockwood; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood from noon until 1 p.m. with the service to follow. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood.
