SHERIFF ALERT:
A small helicopter has crashed at the McMinn County Airport and burst into flames.
The pilot was the only person on board and is being treated by EMS at the scene with minor injuries. Local fire departments also responded to extinguish the fire.
Please avoid the area while the situation is being responded to by fire, EMS, and law enforcement.
