HENRY COUNTY OFFICERS RESCUE CHILD LIVING IN DOG CAGE; 3 ADULTS ARRESTED

Henry County, Tennessee officers discovered a one and a half year old child kept in a dog kennel and more than 600 animals in and on the property of a single-wide trailer. Authorities say the mother, 42-year-old Heather Scarbough, 46-year-old Thomas Jefferson Brown (step-father of child) and 82-year-old Charles Brown all facing charges of aggravated child abuse and aggravated cruelty to animals, possession of a firearm while committing another felony, manufacturing marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and cruelty to animals. Officers went to the home acting on an anonymous tip of animal abuse at Dale Cemetery Road. The boy is now in the custody of child protective services.
