A high-speed chase from the Tennessee Highway Patrol chasing a motorcycle on Highway 70 into the Midtown Harriman Shopping Center corridor occurred Saturday evening resulting in the motorcyclist crashing into a vehicle near the entrance to Pinnacle Point near Weigel’s.

The chase started near Patton Lane on Hwy 70 east of Rockwood and sources say speeds of over 100 mph were involved. Currently, the report is not finished on this incident but we do know that the motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to the UT medical center in Knoxville if possible serious injuries.
