HIGHWAY 127 HOME BURGLARIZED; NOTHING TO STEAL

On saturday, Deputy Nathan Lewis was dispatched to Highway 127 north in reference to an unoccupied house being burglarized. Upon arriving, the deputy spoke with the daughter of the property owner. The actual owner lives in Chattanooga.
The daughter explains that she cares for her mother and that the residence had been burglarized a couple times in the past.
After the last time, all valuables were removed from the home and transported to Chattanooga. As a result, there was nothing to steal inside the house. The deputy observed the house to be in disarray, with personal belongings scattered all throughout. There were fresh scrape marks on the carport door which is where the deputy believes the offender gained entry.
An extra patrol was set up for the residents and the daughter of the homeowner was asked that a matter of record be made on the incident.
