HONDA RECALLS 256K VEHICLES FOR GLITCH THAT INCREASES CRASH RISK

Honda announced a recall of approximately 256,000 Accord Hybrid vehicles in the U.S., covering certain 2023–2025 model years, due to a software error in the Integrated Control Module (ICM).
The glitch, caused by a supplier’s improper programming and increased electrical noise from added features, can mistakenly interpret normal communication signals as serious CPU faults, triggering an unexpected resets that result in a sudden loss of drive power and heightened risk of crash or injury.
As of early November 2025, Honda had received 832 related warranty claims but no reports of injuries or fatalities. Dealers will reprogram the ICM software at no cost to owners, with notification letters scheduled to be mailed on January 5, 2026.
Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 (recall number TN2) or check affected VINs on NHTSA.gov starting November 18, 2025.
