HUMAN REMAINS DISCOVERED IN SCOTT COUNTY
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office announced that human remains were discovered late on the evening of February 28, 2026, in the Pioneer area of the county by a hunter. Authorities are currently processing the remains following standard investigative procedures as part of an active and ongoing investigation.
