INDICTMENT FOR FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN OVERTON COUNTY
From District attorney General Bryant Dunaway:
On December 9, 2025, The Overton County Grand Jury, after hearing testimony from investigators, issued a True Bill of Indictment against EDWARD LOUIS WAYNE RANDOLPH, age 49, charging him with the First Degree Murder of Hope Parrott and Abuse of her Corpse.
In July 2025, Overton County deputies responded to Sunk Cane Road in Crawford where the victim’s body was found discarded and burned. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation joined the investigation and both agencies have worked together in developing the investigation. The Grand Jury found sufficient evidence to establish probable cause that Randolph committed these crimes. The case will now be placed on the Criminal Court docket February 22, 2026 for the defendant to be arraigned.
