COCKE COUNTY, Tenn. — On Friday around 3 PM, Eric Ballard and Chris Webb escaped a litter crew after telling deputies that they needed to use the bathroom around two minutes apart from each other. They entered some nearby woods on Industrial Road, across from a litter van, off I 25E. After about ten minutes, the deputy said he lost sight of both inmates. He then loaded other inmates back into the van and notified dispatch.

Chris Webb was caught and is now sitting in jail with felony warrants and other charges pending against other parties involved. Eric Ballard has not been located as of yet.
