INVESTIGATION INTO MURDER OF LOUDON COUNTY SOLDIER CONTINUES

The investigation into the murder of a Loudon County soldier late last year continues by the sheriff’s department.

Officers were called to a dwelling on Shaw Ferry Road North in Lenoir City on October 1, 2019 and found the body of 35-year-old Jacob Dean Bishop who was physically bound and shot multiple times.

During the course of the investigation, authorities have tried to interview several individuals and sent evidence, including DNA found, to the TBI lab for processing but the COVID-19 situation has slowed the results down tremendously. Loudon County authorities continue to work the case with the resources they do have in hopes of making an arrest soon.
