Mr. Jackie Armes, age 78, of Wartburg, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he proudly served as a Seabee. Jackie worked at Burlington Mills until it closed. He then went to work for Roane Hosiery until his retirement. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Life Care Center of Morgan County and to Covenant Hospice for the exceptional care they have provided for Jackie for the past few years.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cordell and Ervia Armes.

Two brothers: Burlin “Duck” and John Armes.

And one sister: Marsha Jackson.

He is survived by seven sisters: Vivian “Cricket” Beaver, Mildred Carroll, Bonnie Armes, Sherry Carroll, Ava Byrge, Beverly Beasley, and Pam Bunch.

Four brothers: Steve, Paul, Roger, and Jeff Armes.

Along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Friday November 29, 2024, at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Bro. Lee Young officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Armes Family Cemetery.
