James Hoyt Threet, Sr., age 80, was born on February 3, 1942, to Dillard and Dollie Threet in Wilder, TN. He passed away on January 12, 2023, at his home in Sparta, TN.

James was married to Norma (Todd) Threet on July 6, 1962. He was the father of 3 children Theresa Lynn (Threet) Edmonds, James Hoyt Threet, Jr., and Timothy Allen Threet, all of Crossville, TN. He was also the grandfather of 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him dearly.

James was preceded in death by his parents Dillard J. Threet and Dollie (Robbins) Threet; 5 brothers; 6 sisters; along with his in-laws Edison & Nobel Todd and Francis Polson Todd.

Services will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11am-1pm with the service to follow at 1pm, Adam Strayer officiating. Burial will be in Banner Springs Cemetery immediately following the service. Pallbearers include Josh Ward, Jessi Edmonds, Chase Edmonds, David Edmonds, Cody Threet, and Todd Threet.
