James Richard Mallory, age 76, of Crossville, was born to John Oscar and Louise Mary Elmer Mallory in Cincinnati, Ohio. He passed away July 28, 2021 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He served in the 91st Bombardment Wing Strategic Air Command in the Vietnam War as a Sargent in the Air Force. James was a manager with Firestone and owned Jim and Juniors Bait Shop on Peavine Road. He also coached Amateur Athletic Union Basketball for 12 years.

He is survived by his son: Jonathan Mallory (Leslie); grandchildren: Nathan and Nora Mallory; and sibling: Kay Parrish.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister: Charlene Mallory Korte.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow. He will be laid to rest in Crossville City Cemetery.
