James “Pa” Smith, age 85, of Crossville, was born October 4, 1935 to Otis T. and Dora Mae Tudor Smith in Fentress County and passed away June 12, 2021. He was a farmer by trade and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. He was a member of Pine Eden Baptist Church and loved his church family.

He is survived by his wife: Lucy Jean Smith; sons: Russell Smith (Carol) and Ricky Smith (Lisa); daughter: Missy Guillory (Dale); grandchildren: Nathan Smith, Bruce Smith, Katelyn Atchley, Ashton Hayes, Landon Smith, Robby Myers, Victoria Myers, and Adam Guillory; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and siblings: Tom Smith, Kendall Smith, Sue Beaty, Ruth Meadows, Patsy Burroughs, Panza Smith, Wanda Reynolds, and Katie Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Jerry and Terry Smith; and sisters: Irene Watson and Faye Ayers.

The family will receive friends at Pine Eden Baptist Church in Crossville Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 2 until 5 p.m. central with service to follow. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
