James Warren Kerley, 74
James Warren Kerley, age 74, of Crossville, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Warren was the Pastor of Remnant Ministries USA for several years. He loved the Lord and enjoyed teaching and sharing the word with others. Warren was a 1969 graduate of Bledsoe County High School, and served in the United States Army as a Medic. He loved his family, enjoyed family gatherings, and would help anyone he could. Warren was a contractor, and a mechanic, and enjoyed tinkering with cars.
Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Olin and Dorotha Lillian Tollett Kerley; sisters, Virginia “Jenny” Smith and infant Lillian Kerley; brother, infant Kirk Kerley.
Warren is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Josephene Hankins Kerley; daughters, Amy Deniese Cross and Rebecca “Beckie” Lillian (Steven) London; grandchildren, Ashley (Derek) Phipps, Elisha (Jadelyn) Cross, Celina (Allan) Vaughn, Lexus Cross, Amelia Campbell (Dawn Finchum); great-grandchildren, Kennedy Phipps, Neveah Cross, and Hudson Cross; sisters, Nan (Ralph) Brown, Vivian Tollett, Janet Parham; brothers, George Olin Kerley, Dewey Kerley, Joe (Cyndra) Kerley; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.
A celebration of life with military honors will be at 2:00pm CDT Saturday, August 1, 2026 in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Goins officiating. Burial will be in Tollett Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00am until service time Saturday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
