Janice Degore Wilkerson, age 64, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 12:32 a.m. Janice was born on December 21, 1961, in Loudon, Tennessee, to the late Ernest L. Wilkerson and Florence B. (Gillespie) Wilkerson .She graduated from Loudon High School in 1980.
Janice was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Tennessee, where she was known for her strength, resilience, and devotion to her family. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, and the love for her family was unwavering!
She is survived by her only daughter, Shanetana B. (Wilkerson) Marshall; her daughter-in-law, Tiffany Marshall; her son, Charlie Hampton; her beloved grandson, Justus Burum; and her stepmother, Betty Wilkerson.
A Celebration of Life honoring Janice Degore Wilkerson will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Lyric (Historical Loudon Theatre), located at 320 Grove Street, Loudon, Tennessee 37774. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life, legacy, and the memories she leaves behind.
Janice will be remembered for her enduring spirit, her love for her family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
