Jerry M. Beaty, age 84, of Crossville, passed away January 11, 2021. He was born December 2, 1936 in Fentress County, the son of James L. and Lillian M. Young Beaty. He retired from the Tennessee Highway Patrol after 32 years of service, retiring as District Captain. He had always hoped to have as many years of retirement as he had working years and only missed it by 2. He was also a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Margaret Beaty; sons: Paul Webb (Pat) of Brentwood, Mike Beaty (Karen) of Harriman, and David Beaty (Debbie) of Crossville; brothers: Joe Beaty and Jess Beaty (Helen); sister: Beverly Beaty Williams; grandchildren: Courtney Jones, Paige Beaty, Bailey White, Austin White, Alex White, Austin Webb, Jason Webb, Adam Webb, Justin Beaty, Jake Beaty, Jenna Beaty and Jacie Beaty; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Jim Beaty; and sister-in-law: Joyce Beaty.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Crossville. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Beaty Cemetery in Jamestown, Tennessee.
