Jerry Walter Lorenc, 80

Jerry Walter Lorenc, 80, of Fairfield Glade, TN, left his earthly home on November 12, 2021, at his home in the arms of his wife, Maralynn.  Jerry was born in Passaic, N.J. to Mary & Matthew Lorenc. He was an identical twin, also having three other brothers and a sister.

Jerry attended Teterboro school of Aeronautics in Teterboro, N.J. receiving his A&P license.  He is a Navy veteran having served aboard the USS Essex, the first angle deck carrier.  After his military service he joined Pratt & Whitney, a commercial & military aircraft engine company, enjoying 35 years of service. He traveled the world for the company including 12 years in Saudi Arabia. He managed the engine shop, working closely with the Saudi’s training in maintaining the F-100 engines.

Retiring in 2004 he & his wife, Maralynn, traveled the U.S. in their 36-foot 5th wheel RV, for 5 years. In 2006 they purchased their home in Fairfield Glade.  Jerry was a devout Catholic belonging to St. Alphonsus parish where he served as an usher, greeter, and alter server. He was also the director at S.A.C.S. for 6 fulfilling years.

Leaving to mourn his passing are his wife of 45 years, Maralynn, son, Kevin and wife Karen, brother, Edward Lorenc, grandchildren, Rachel and Sean Lorenc, and step grandchildren Lauren and Eric Brandt.

A visitation will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 1:00 PM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Crossville.
