Jesse Lee Tharp was born on December 15, 1949, in Crossville, TN to Myrtle and Jesse Lee Tharp. He was a veteran of the United States Army, after serving his country during Vietnam he worked at various construction companies throughout the Southeast. He married Sharon Tharp on December 5, 1974, and was the father to two children, Angela and Jesse Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sharon and his daughter, Angela. He leaves behind his son, Michael, daughter in law, Erin and two grandchildren, Lorelei (age 12) and Tucker (age 6), as well as the only cat he ever loved, Jack. Jesse was an avid fisherman and always up for a night out with his friends. He loved the beach and all things that had to do with the water and was never without his flip flops or fishing pole. He will be missed by numerous friends and family members and will be remembered for his laugh and love of life.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-3pm with the service to follow at 3pm, Robert Newberry officiating.
