Hood – JIMMY OSCAR RUSSELL age 82, of Sparta, TN passed away May 24, 2025. He was born January 10, 1943 in Cumberland Gap, TN the son of Horace and Emily”Lizzy”Killian Russell. He retired after many years from Manchester Tank and was of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His family was the most important part of his life, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons- Wade Russell and his wife Sherry, Alan Russell and his wife Brenna and Stewart Russell and his wife Larissa all of Crossville, TN, daughter- Lisa Selby of Crossville, TN, grandchildren- Keisha Riggs (BJ), Michelle Stewart (Derrick), Justin Russell (Janczi), John Russell (Sarah), MaShayla Crabtree (Justin), Chase Selby, Emily Garrett (Stephen), Kaitlyn Russell (Ronald Campbell) and Madison Massey (Clay), great grandchildren- Preston, Ellie, Ty, Harper, Layla, Lydia, Lizzy, Naomi, Gabrielle, Sophia, Bo, Mia, Haley, Emma Kate and Madi Mae, special friend- Phyllis Burdick and former wife and mother of his children- Loretta Russell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings- James David, Roger Mead, Estel Lee, William Stewart and Roscoe Russell, Ada Rotert, Doshia West, Donna Bradenburg and Evelene Thaxton and great granddaughter- Lily Faith Russell.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 30, 2025 at 11am at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday May 29, 2025 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home. The burial will be in Woody Cemetery.
