Celebration of Life Services for Jimmy Swicegood, age 57, of Monterey, Tennessee, was conducted on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Hope in Christ Fellowship. Pastor Steve Looper officiated. Mr. Swicegood was born on August 30, 1965, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Frank and Evelyn Murphy Swicegood. Mr. Swicegood passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Swicegood was a heavy equipment operator working with Blue Water Industries – Monterey Sand. He was survived by his wife, Rebekah Lawhorn Swicegood of Monterey, TN; step-children, Will (Sheyenne) Davidson of Bakersfield, CA, Brittani Lawhorn of Atascadero, CA, Jessikah (Michael) Brush of Paso Robles, CA, Darlene (Samuel) Haselden of Bakersfield, CA; grandson, Sammy Haselden; sister, Judy Looper of Livingston, TN; brother, Gene and Wilma Swicegood of Ashland City, TN; mother-in-law, Virginia Lawhorn of Coalinga, CA; sister-in-law, Karen Lawhorn of Coalinga, CA; a host of nieces and nephews; and pets, Puggaley, Merley, and Monkey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Swicegood; and infant sister, Etta Carol Swicegood.
