John Leon Townsend, age 86, of Kingston, passed away February 26, 2020. He is survived by his wife: Ester Jane Townsend; daughter: Vickie and Jerry Hughes; son: Steve and Celia Townsend; sisters: Shirley Narramore, Deanna Green and Tara Littleton; brothers: Doug Townsend and Wayne Townsend; grandchildren; Shelley and David Bentley, Derek and Chelsey Townsend, Travis and Chelsey Townsend, Trace Hughes and Shanda Hughes; and great-grandchildren; Tyler, Cole and Kade Bentley, Kai, Kason and Saylor Townsend. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston with the funeral to follow. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery.
