John M. Patterson, 76
John M. Patterson, age 76, of Lenoir City, went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning, February 10, 2025. He was born January 12, 1949 in Sweetwater and was a 1967 graduate of Midway High School. After high school he joined the United States Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. Johnny was a member of Cave Creek Baptist Church and had been an ordained deacon for over 50 years. He enjoyed leading the choir as long as his health permitted. He retired from the trucking industry where he had worked for Crete Carrier-Great Dane Trailers. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Preceded in death by his son, Rev. Jamey Eugene Patterson; parents, Herbert & Catherine Patterson; brother, Fred & sister-in-law, Kay Patterson; father-in-law & mother-in-law, James & Mary Crox; brothers-in-law, Rev. Larry Bolden and Tommy Crox.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Cave Creek Missionary Baptist Church with funeral service following at 7:00 pm, with Rev. Rick Kirkland and Rev. Jeremy Sexton officiating. The family will meet at Fraker Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:30 am, to go in procession to Cave Creek Cemetery for a 12:00 pm graveside service with military honors conducted by the Roane County Honor Guard.
