Funeral Services for Rick Phillips, age 69, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Youth Pastor Jeremy Flatt and Pastor Steve Looper will officiate with interment to follow in the Lovejoy Cemetery. Mr. Phillips was born on Saturday, June 25, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Luther and Jewell Miller Phillips. Mr. Phillips passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Phillips retired from Dacco with 40 plus years of service. He loved fishing and side by side riding. He was Baptist in faith. He was a loving Papaw. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sue Pitzer Phillips of Monterey, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Beth Phillips of Sacramento, CA, Nathan and Jennifer Phillips of Monterey, TN; granddaughter, Rory Phillips; grandsons, Andrew Phillips, Lex Phillips, and Matthew Phillips; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bob Stamps of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Kevin Phillips of Murfreesboro, TN; fur baby, “His Boy” Loki.
