Republican congressman John Rose of the 6th district of Tennessee said he’s now making a bid for governor. Rose announced his run for the governor’s seat while speaking to Republican women in Williamson County, at the home of Marsha Blackburn no less, who would be his only other Republican competitor.

Rose recently said that his current term would be his last in Congress and announced his run for governor after rumors that he would run for governor had been around for quite a while.
