Local authorities are investigating the tragic death of a child following an apparent drowning in southeastern Bradley County.

On Monday, July 13, 2026, emergency crews were dispatched around 2:38 p.m. to a private residence after receiving a report of a child found in a pond on the property. First responders arrived quickly and immediately initiated life-saving measures.

The juvenile was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.

Detectives with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office have launched a preliminary investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the incident.
