Roane County Schools selected Christy Kamikawa as the principal for Ridge View Elementary School.

She has been an educator in Roane County schools for the past 23 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts and an Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership.

Kamikawa attended elementary, middle and high school in Rockwood and graduated from Rockwood High School in 1992.

She completed her 13^th year as an assistant principal at Ridge View Elementary School. Prior to that, she served as a fifth grade teacher at the school for nine years.
