The following statement is from the Roane County School System:

“Our ceremonies will be streamed live from our Roane County Schools Facebook page. We encourage those who may not be directly associated with one of our graduates to celebrate these ceremonies while viewing from home. For those in attendance, we hope this will alleviate any need you may feel to live stream on your own so that you may enjoy the ceremony honoring your graduate.

The extended forecast looks favorable for all ceremony times. We will do everything possible to hold the graduation on the original date and scheduled time; if the forecast looks questionable for a specific ceremony, we will adjust start times if needed. These announcements will be shared on our Roane County Schools Facebook page; please make sure to watch for graduation announcements.

Face coverings will be provided for our graduating students if they feel the need to utilize these. Our graduating seniors will be seated in such a way as to honor the social distancing guidelines. If attending, please feel free to wear a mask if you choose. We will also have items or signs in place within our stadiums to help those attending the commencement exercises to maintain appropriate physical distancing. Appropriate distances between families in our bleachers will be encouraged.

While we do understand that photographs of this wonderful accomplishment are much desired, we encourage families to do their best to take as many photos as possible at home prior to and after the commencement to help minimize congregated groups while on campus.

Thank you for your support of your graduate throughout the years of their education. In this unprecedented time, we appreciate their diligent work in obtaining their high school diploma, as well as the work of parents, grandparents, guardians, family members, and community members who have helped them reach this very important milestone in their lives.”
